CLOCHING FOR FALL

Yea!  It is time for Marty’s Tabletop Tuesday Cloche Party!  The first cloche I’m sharing is a year-round cloche.  I just love the “Aunt Mary’s Delightful Bible Stories” vintage book that I bought at Lynn’s Vintage Nest shop, and it’s been living under this cloche for awhile now.

Maybe this little scarecrow was nice to a crow.  I don’t know what he did, but it must have been bad, because..

FALLEN CLOCHES

No, I don’t have any broken cloches to show you.  I did break one recently, but I didn’t think about taking a picture of the glass pieces on the floor.  Although I am no longer joining weekly memes, I still join Blogville parties, and I am happy to be linking the Fall Cloche Party at A Stroll Thru Life. 

 

Obviously, these aren’t cloches, but Marty is soooo kind and  lenient about what qualifies as a cloche for her parties that I’m posting two candle lanterns that I have used to display a painted glass pear and a painted glass apple.

 

The next two cloches are on the desk in my entry hall all the time.  I thought I might get away with using them as Fall cloches by hanging a Fall wreath over them!

This one protects granddaddy’s and grandmother’s pocket watches.

Don’t you think the wreath hanging over the cloches magically transforms them to Fall cloches?

I know this post really stretches the meaning of Fall cloches, but my miscellaneous flatware, covered with a cloche, became a Fall cloche by hanging the pretty metal leaf from the side.  I was the lucky winner of that leaf at a giveaway at Between Naps On the Porch last year.

I know you are going to be under-whelmed by my creativity when you see the next two cloches.  I apologize in advance for my lack of creative abilities.

I hope you didn’t spend a lot of time trying to see what was under these cloches, because my “creative genius”  was to cover a couple of Fall themed plates with cloches.  The last one reads, “We are blessed beyond measure”.
