SHARE THE LOVE

This past weekend, I shared the love with my family, as we shared a meal (my family thinks that having a meal cooked for them any time of the year is sharing the love).

For the salad course, I turned my leaf-shaped bowls in a direction that I thought suggested a heart.  I used a Dollar store red charger under my white metal chargers.  Dinner plates are Fitz and Floyd Country Plaid.

A heart-shaped dessert plate served as a coaster.

Napkin rings were keys to the heart.

I put the roll in a Valentine cupcake holder under a cloche.  Soft butter filled the little red pot.

Salt and pepper shakers at each end of the table:

Napkins, edged with hearts became bows on the topiaries.  They were also used to conceal the pots.  (Christmas wreath topiaries are marked down now!)

The only photo I took of the full centerpiece was before I had finished setting the table.

There are so many things to like at this table that it's hard to find a favorite, but I think it might be the key napkin rings. Delightful!

Laurie! How CUTE! Where do I start??? First, I am wild over plaid, so your Scotties and your FF plates are wonderful. And I am absolutely going to steal those white plates. Are they chargers??? Where did you find them? And the cute hearts and the clever use of the leaf as a heart... you did a super job here. Your family is very lucky, indeed.

Happy Tablescape Thursday...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Laurie, in case you are interested, I am up for adoption! You have the most beautiful ecletic tables...this one is no exception...only you would put a Christmas tree, hearts, milk glass, tartans and turn a leaf so it looks like a heart together on one table! I ♥ it...

Laurie, don't know how I missed seeing this one on Thursday. Sorry to be late. Love seeing your table set for Valentines. The layers with the plaid plates and the leaf bowls work perfectly. I'm a long time fan of plaid and just recently added some plaid plates to the cupboard, along with a great GW find of a set of plaid cups and saucers. I kept looking for plates, even went back another day to see if they might surface. Sure wish I had the matching plates. Thanks for sharing the love ~ Sarah
